In 2012, after years of success in the Southeast, Daniel Salem Dawkins II brought his construction business back home to New York City, where he expanded operations and rebranded under what is now Dawkins Development Group Inc. With a clear vision for innovation and quality, Mr. Dawkins obtained his NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) licenses as a General Contractor, Concrete Contractor, and Demolition Contractor, allowing the company to provide a full scope of commercial and residential services across the city.

Mr. Dawkins’ journey in construction began in 1997 in North Carolina, where he honed his skills as a carpenter and builder. In 2000, he expanded to Metro Atlanta, founding Unique Impressions Construction Inc., a custom home building and remodeling company that served over 300 clients. He cultivated strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry professionals, forming the foundation for future success.
In 2007, Daniel tested the waters in New York by renovating two brownstones in Brooklyn. With roots in Queens, NY, the experience reignited his passion to serve the community where he was born and raised. Recognizing a shift in market needs, he rebranded and established what would become Dawkins Development Group Inc. — a full- service, design/build general contracting and real estate development firm operating in multiple states.
